St. John the Wonderworker Serbian Orthodox Church in Eugene, Oregon, is a parish of the Serbian Orthodox
Diocese of Western America.

The diocese of Western America is under
the jurisdiction of His Grace Bishop Maxim in Los Angeles, California.
We welcome all to Orthodox Christianity: ethnic Orthodox of any background, converts, or guests.

Our main focus in parish life is building a Christian community of co-strugglers and co-laborers in Christ.
Emphasis is on such traditional Christian endeavors as unseen warfare against passions,
worship in spirit and in truth, fasting, prayer, and almsgiving.

Our missionary bookstore and church are located in downtown Eugene, Oregon.

The women's Lenten retreat at St. John the Forerunner Monastery in Goldendale, Washington
is March 12-14 (Friday-Sunday) and features Fr. Paul Jaroslaw (Homer, Alaska) delivering
"St. Innocent of Alaska and the Way of The Cross: How do we Embrace
the Cross in all the Changing Circumstances of our Lives?"

THANK YOU Father Athanasias Shaw and Mother Anna Shaw for driving down from
Tacoma and being with us Saturday evening and serving Sunday morning's Divine Liturgy.

The FIRST SATURDAY NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKFAST catered to 111 guests last Saturday, the 6th.
THANX to everyone who helped!

As construction for Ninkasi progresses, we've lost some parking outside the north gater;
it will be like this for the 3 weeks. We still can park along the Church fence, but consider
others as you park so we can fit in more cars. DO NOT PARK in the staging area. Another option
(Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings ONLY) is to use the 5-6 spots of O.U.R. Credit Union
on the east side of its building off Van Buren. Parking remains available along Blair Boulevard.
Please do not park in the area between the church wall and One Cup, which is reserved for the
architect and One Cup.

There's a Church Work Party on Saturday, March 20th, aimed at preparing for PASCHA!
Everyone can help. All maintenance at St. John's is done by volunteers as a for
of stewardship. We work from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. One way to serve is to bring
a Lenten dish to feed the hungry workers! Thank you!

Family camp (located at SKY CAMP, a half hour from Eugene) this year will be JULY 26-30!
Mark your calendars and make preparations to join us for five days of spiritual fellowship,
prayer, interesting talks, recreation and family activities in a beautifull lakeside setting!

Congratulations to Deacon Daniel & Diakonissa Maria Mackay on the birth of
LUCY ELIZABETH MACKAY Sunday, at 7:34 a.m., (Sunday of Orthodoxy - 2/21/8/10)!
She was 7 pounds, 12 ounces, 19 3/8" tall!
Elena Kaurova, the nurse on duty, helped with the birth!
Their 40th day is Great & Holy Friday, so you will see mother and daughter on Pascha!

Our prayers and love go out to Daniel Kirk and Anne Stimer, who left for Butte, Montana
on Tuesday, March 2nd in anticipation of their April Wedding. God bless your new life together!

Emily Sumstine is going to Albania on a mission trip with Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC).
She'll be leaving for two weeks on June 16th and would like to ask for both your spiritual
amd financial support. She'll require four thousands dollars to cover air fare and other
