He started travelling by hitchhiking in Europe in 1956 and made 40.000
kms auto-stop. Additionally 60.000 kms by car in Europe / Africa.
He has motorcycled > 111.111 kms in Africa. He rode two long trips to
Asia and other made mc-tours in Australia, USA and in all countries of
Europe most by motorcycle.
In 1977 the civil-engineer made his hobby to his profession and became
an outfitter. Now he gives recommendation to long distance travellers
and sells equipment to them. He is the producer of the strongest racks
and aluboxes wordlwide.
To offer experiences Bernd Tesch organises a yearly "Motorcycle Meeting
for World-Travellers" in april. On his 25th anniversary in april 2003
there have been 350 participants including 27 Around-The-World
Travellers. Bernd knows much more than 10.000 mc-long-distance
travellers.
Tesch wrote several books. Still available is the very international
book "Motorrad Abenteuer Touren" = "Motorcycle Adventure Tours". 432
pages. 500 B&W pictures and drawings. 264 international mc-tours
1910-1994 who have been published as books. Bernd owns > 350
