SPECIAL MOTORCYCLE EVENTS

2007 TyndaÕs Fifth International Rally AND local Classic Auto Show.

When: 22-24th of June 2007.

Why: To honor foreign moto travellers and show them that there is more to the USA than guns and roses. We will show them some of real America. Hear what these foreign travellers have learned about moto travel. This rally will be of special interest to those who intend to travel outside the borders of North America.

Where: 40 miles east of Eugene, Oregon, at the foothills of the Cascades, on the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. Located on 15 acres of a former plant nursery near the end of the famous motorcycle road, the Aufderheide. And at the start of the new Oakridge to Cottage Grove paved moto route. The rally property is being developed as an ecological preserve for wildlife and plants. If your spouse likes flowers and birds, this is the place, if not, come anyway.

Who: All moto riders are invited. Free but primitive camping. Toilet but no showers. Learn to survive on your own. There are motels and other facilities within 6 miles. Since the Classic Auto Show is being held in Oakridge at the same time one should book now.

Speakers will be local world travellers The main speaker will be Ramey ÒCoachÓ Stroud. And, Flavio Kenup, whose web site is www.aventuraemduasrodas.com.br., is now on the road heading to the rally and we hope makes it on time (last email on 25 May said entering Peru). We have had interest from riders in Egypt and Thailand if they can get a visa. Also Glenn ÒThe StrikingVikingÓ from California sent us an email saying he was attending again as he was buying a new BMW HP2 in Eugene.

Friday: Arrive when you want but on Friday we will have a potluck bonfire. We eat what you bring. BYOD.

Saturday: A side road trip to Eugene (40 miles) for Howling Coyote BBQ lunch (no host $7 to $15; reservations requested) and a visit to two semi-classic car museums. Along the tour visit 5 and 1/4 covered bridges. Then Oakridge to visit their third annual classic car show (100 plus autos). Later, in the afternoon we gather back at the rally for presentations by travellers. Wine and cheese by the River. Before the evening bonfire, we will cook the pizza or other food you bring in our new wood fired outdoors pizza oven. Or cook your own food at the Saturday bonfire, if a fire permit is granted.

Sunday: Leave or stay as you desire.

RSVP. Please e-mail us if you are interested. It would be appreciated if we had a rough count of those who intend to attend and we will place you on a special e-mail list for last minute updates. Tynda@aol.com. Web site: Users.rio.com/~tynda

Our travellers are road warriors but on occasions even they

go to gatherings.   Here are those that may be of some interest.
