CANADA FLAG

CANADA is that vast land north of the United States that was left over from the British Empire.   Now it is on its own.

It is an overlooked land that many motorcyclists miss because they all want "to go to the United States"

It can be strongly argued that it is far better to travel from the east coast to the west coast by way of Canada than through the US.   If you have every been to Texas you will know why.  It is, of course, farther to travel across Canada, just look at a map.

One will be very impressed with the tourist information bureaus in eastern Canada.  Open late, they are well staffed with plenty of written information to give out.    After college begins it is more difficult to find them open especially as one travels west.  But ,they are the best we have seen anywhere in the world.

Assuming that you are travelling from east to west here is some information that might prove helpful.

It is possible to have a motorcycle shipped to Halifax or drive there from Maine in the US.

Click on one of the below for specific information . We recommend that you read it in the order listed as there is some overlapping information .  Great motorcycle rides do not necessarily conform to political boundaries.   Since Manitoba is approximately half way across,  we have more directional information at that site.
