PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND--PEI
PEI is a small island but many riders have reported to us that they found it most enjoyable.
There are two ways to get there.
If you are coming from News Brunswick take the Confederation Bridge (13 km, or 9 mi, about 12 minutes). It is supposed to be the longest bridge over water that freezes. It is a toll bridge but you do not pay until you are leaving the province. To leave the island, take the ferry from Wood Island to Nova Scotia (22km, 14 miles, 75 minutes).
The tourist office has maps on 3 to 5 suggested routes.
On the north side of the island is PEI National Park which one can drive though. However, there is not much to see so avoid the fee unless you want to spend some time on the beach.
