TO TYNDA
I had a great time, (after storing my moto in La Paz)
until last night, when walking back to the hostal
from the inetrnet cafe. 30m before the hostal I was suddenly strangeld from
behind, I saw 3 men running at me, and when I woke up, my purse with credit
card (stupide), my backpack with Camera and my diary was gone.
The diary is the worst loss. Luckily I was not hurt, I just cant eat now,
because I bit on my tongue when fighting back.
The police filed a report, thats it.
I try to leave La PAz for Copacabana with a bus now.
Things happen, why was I wandering around with my backpack at 10pm?
A LOCAL REPORTS ON THIS ASSUALT
Another report
We had a real rebellion here the last week and lots of
public institutions and shops were looted. No fun!
Now we are calm again, but the destruction is
incredible. Also the military shot some people (their
was a fight armed police contra armed military). 9
police dead and 4 militaries -> in total 24 dead and a
hundred injured. Not to understand was the killing of
a nurse thru the hospital window and the shot at a
fe,male doctor, who tried to help on the street under
red cross - it did not work. (there are still road blocks)

Although we have reported some negative items Bolivia and La Paz are nice places to visit.
The two recommended places, Walter's Honda Shop and Hotel Oberland are south of the
city. Tynda
