CAPTORS RELEASE 7 Germans

SAN'A, Yemen — Seven Germans kidnapped while riding motorcycles across Yemen have been released, Yemeni officials said Wednesday. No ransom was paid and all seven were unharmed, Martin Erdmann, a German Foreign Ministry spokesman, said in Bonn. The Germans were abducted March 3 on a mountain pass near Mukalla, about 620 . I miles southeast of San'a. The captors had reportedly demanded $12 million from the Yemeni government for the release of the Germans as compensation for being swindled by a local car dealer. Tribesmen in Yemen often have used kidnappings to pressure the government for money or protects.

BETTINA GLOVER was riding in Borneo when an Orangutang snatched her from her R100GS.   Bicyclists helped drive away the beast from her person, and she rode on unhurt.   Only she later did she learn (sic) that male Orangs have been known to rape women!
