What did you think of the desert in Chile. Boring?
- yes, but I knew what to expect. Like Routa 3 (with mountains) in Patagonia. So
I was waiting to get to San Pedro der Atacama which is really a gem.
Did you camp out there?
- Yes, once on the coast, a desolated area where I had some drizzle from the
seafog. In San Pedro, which is a nice oasis, and at the Tatio Geysirs, very
impressive scenery.
I have a friend in Australia that is thinking of riding from Santiago to
Venezula. What do you think of this route?
- Good luck in Colombia. The country is supposed to be very beautiful and people
are very friendly. I just read that a motorcyclist from Argentina(?) was taken
hostage at a guerilla roadblock.
