MOTORBIKE SHIPPING FROM NEW ZEALAND TO SOUTH AMERICA

Just got confirmation from AFSNZ, a local shipping agent in Auckland -- can fly the bikes uncrated via Qantas from Auckland to Buenos Aires (direct) for NZ$4.16/kg (including fuel surcharge), and NZ$175 for DG paperwork and handling. Rate is about US$0.45=NZ$1, and flights are on Friday and Sundays. We will probably ship on May 11. 

We flew the bikes from Sydney to Auckland the same way (Qantas Ro-Ro), rate was A$2.55/kg + paperwork, and reclaiming the bikes (arrive at import terminal, customs, quarantine inspection, and riding away) at Auckland airport the next day took all of 90 minutes -- a new record!

The 2 bikes together weighed 537kg, and above pricing is based on 500+ kg

Thanks for the follow up inquiry and the offer to help. We're looking into renting a bach/crib/flat on the north island for about a month starting in mid-April, to take a small break and practice Spanish.
