Hello Tynda,
sorry we didn't write for a long time but things are moving so fast .
I don't know how to start. I want to tell you so many things ..
We had a great trip in SA especially in Ecaudor . Peru we didn't like to much
the people are very nervous , loud and asking too much ... may be too many tourists
also dogs are hunting our bikes every day . One dog bit Gerd in the leg but not
a big problem . We spend a few nice days in Vilcabamba (Hostal Hidden Garden ,
nice with pool , central ) . The bordercrossing to Peru at the coast took a long time.
Before we spend 2 nice days in Mancora at the coast of Peru .
The trip to huaraz was very nice . Don't miss the ruins of Chan Chan in Trujillo.
From Huaraz go to the ruins of Chavin it's really worth visiting . The pass to
La Union and Huanucu is bombastic. From Huanucu go to Cerro de Pasco, La Oroyo
Huancayo , Ayacucho , Andahuaylas , Abancay and Cusco this trip is one of the
nicest pass rides of the world I think . You climb passes from 4500 to 4900
meters and there are millions of curves - a paradise for a enduro . For this trip
we spend 14 days on the road . Only few bikers go on this road because it's only
possible in dry season . Sometimes no traffic on the road .
I think Macchu Picchu you already know so you won't go there any more - too many
tourists . The road to Puno and La Paz is relaxed but nice .
We hope you will have a nice and relaxed trip and say hello to Walter in La Paz, he is a great guy .
Okay good luck and enjoy life .
Ellen and Gerd
P.S. We continue our trip from Quito on 13 Nov. and want to go as far as Nica .
