He is an email from a Cruiser Owner. Now he is one of the many of us who realize that
BMW is so pigheaded that they not only fail to realize that they make mistakes but
will not even help the consumer.
I am trying to get information about a persistent
problem with my 1999 BMW Cruiser, that my dealer
insists is specific to my vehicle.
My turn signals keep falling off. All of them simply
vibrate to the point of breaking off after every couple
of months of riding and have probably been replaced
a couple of dozen times over three years.
I am more concerned now as the bike is nearing the
end of its warranty period.
You seem to interface to BMW riders, and I would like
to find out if you are available of this issue. It
seems silly and piddly, but is quite irritating, not
to mention costly if I have to pay for it.
Thanks you,

RE: silly turn signals²,Thanks for your input.
As I inquire about, I am discovering that it is indeed a known problem.
It does not appear to have become an issue as very few people that
do any serious riding own this particular model.
I do not feel that I should be pursuing any temporary fixes such
as wrapping tape or strengthening parts. BMW should take
responsibility, but they are not willing to do so. This is potentially
a safety factor as well. My bike is still under warranty and they
are willing to replace the part for free, as they have already done
for more than a dozen times. I do not like that solution, as it will
be the same part, and the bike warranty is ending very soon.
Any suggestions or tips would be welcome.
I am frustrated enough that I am may go so far as file legal
action!
