You travel through southwest France hower you prefer, and end up in Bayonne,

which is always worth a visit.

From there you head to Ustaritz, Espelette and the cross the border at

Alkerdi. A marvellous road will take you to Elizondo. In Elizondo you should

for sure stay at

Casa Rurral Urruska

Barrio Bearzun

TEl and Fax: 0034 948 45 21 06

This accomodation is hidden in the Pyrinees between Spain and France. An 200

years old woooden house with only 5 rooms aviable. Amidsts the most amazing

nature in Spain, you will spend a wonderful time at the end of the world.

The way there is somewhat hidden, so if you decide to book there (advisable

at weekends, unneccessary on weekdays) let me know.

From there back to France to St. Jean-le Pied-de Port. Back into Spain

through National Road 121a. An amazing settintg will take you to Pamplona, a

perfect site if you want to walk on Hemmingways steps... All the small roads

round the town are worth a day trip.

From there down to Tafalla, Olite and Tudela. Towns full of Spanish history

and marvellous ancient architecture.

From there to Soria, taking National Road 122 towards Valladolid. Some 20

miles from Soria you arrive to Calatañazor, an amazing village, which could

be our first meeting point. If you arrange arriving there on a Friday, y

would book some rooms in an amazing small hotel (building must be 500 years

old). The village has a population of about 25 people. From there we could

have an amazing weeking through the beautiful surroundings.

The route down to Calatañazor can take as many days as you like, as it is

full of beauty, but I advise no less than 4 days.

This was chapter 1. The next will follow soon.

Regards

OLAF
