Hello,
To answer your questions.
1. The best option for going from Vladivostok to Ulan Ude depends on the
time you have and the motorcycle you have. If you have an enduro bike with
possibility to drive 400 or more km without refuel and you have at least 2
weeks, it is ok to drive overland Vladivostok- Khabarovsk- Birobidjan-
Blagoveshensk- Sjita- Ulan Ude.
There should be a road all the way now. It is pretty country to see.
Or you can send the bike by train and see the views in a comfortable way.
2. I have no experience with the airport in Vladivostok, but I think there
will be no special problems ,like on the ferry.
3. Siberia is a very big place, so the climatic conditions can be different.
But you can expect little or no rain this time of year and temperatures
between 0 and 10 degrees in the night and between 5 and 30 during the day.
The rain starts normally in July, with a lot of rain near Ussurisk,
in-between Vladivostok and Khabarovsk ( home of the "Siberian" Tigers
4. The tire depends on your motorcycle. I use Metzeler Tourance on my BMW GS
1100 and 1150. A real MX tire is not needed so you are better off with a
mix- tire. It is also almost impossible to find motorcycle tires between
Vladivostok and Novosibirsk.
