To answer your questions about Iceland I put the plan of my organized trips in the envelope. Even if you don t understand german you can find out the places to go. My most favourit places and tracks are:

- Landmannalaugar

- Porsmork (you can walk from Skoga to Porsmork and on to Landmannalaugar. A Bus will take you back. Very scenic! ! !)

- Seljalandsfoss (other breathtaking waterfalls only a few meters away, especialy the third one to the north!)

- Husafell (Hraunfossar/Ishellir)

- Myvatn (stay at least 4 days and ask at Elda for places of interest. Elda keeps the best camp-site around the lake)

- Askja ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! (try to go to the north of Vatnajokull from here.)

- Westfjords (very silent and peacefull, a bit like Sweden)

- Haifoss

- Blue Lagoon

- Husavik (Puffins on a hidden Cliffabout 1 mile out oftown to the north. Ask in Husavik.)

- Snaefelsness (peinsula (?) in the west. A lot of beautifull places, most of them between Budir and Olafsvik.)

- F 37 / Kjolur (try to find the hot spring area of Kerlingafjoll - very unknown!

You ended your letter with the words "Two weeks in Iceland is not long enough.". I say: "Two months in Iceland is not long enough, too! " I ve been there so many times now, for so many years and still it s getting more impressiv from year to year. I never left this island without feeling the tears welling up from deep inside.

Well, you are preparing a trip to Kiwiland? Tell me about it when you re back! But did you ever think about travelling in Germany, Austria, France, Italy...? I tell you, such a trip will be crowded by highlights. If ever you ll do so, let me know! The door to my home is always open for you.

I hope you found your way through my terrible "Englisch".
